Wars’ Voices

Wars’ Voices (WV), a non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 organization, was established in 2006 to preserve the primary resources (oral histories) of Prisoners of War and other Veterans of World War II. The purpose being that the men’s stories and subsequent research from these stories can be a part of the educational experience for today’s youth.

Primary resources will be archived on the internet with educational modules for educators and students for grades nine through college level.

Wars’ Voices raises funds to create the on-line archives of the stories of these veterans and Prisoners of War (POWs) from both the European and Pacific theaters of war – Stalag Luft III (the Great Escape Camp), Stalag Luft I, IV and VI, Stalag VIIA in Europe, and the men captured in the Philippines, on Java, rescued from the USS Pope, USS Houston and USS Perch. These archives are being developed for research and educational purposes.
