Hello!
I found your project while researching the calendar of WY state museum. I am living in Fort Collins,CO and originally from Russia with a lot of relatives survived WWII and – some of them – a life of POW. Do you work only with American heritage? There is a lot of people around with a great knowledge of the Eastern Front. We would be interested to participate in your cause.
Tatiana,
I appreciate your comment and am interested in your interest and work on the Eastern Front. For the last 23 years, I have been focused on American POWs held in both the European and Pacific theaters. Let’s keep in touch after the new year.

Dear Val – just thought I would check out the site. it is very well done accurate and informative. Very impressive. It should be required reading for all high schools or any class involved with the history of WWII. Great job.
Hi Roberta,
Sorry that I missed your message. It has been a long time since you emailed. I looked at the Warrior Museum website. Very nice. My work for the last 27 years has been on WWII prisoners of war. It has been my gift to have recorded nearly 200 oral histories from POWs from both the European and Pacific Theaters.
I give presentations to students as that is my mission to share their stories with our youth.
Take care. Let me know if I can be of service,
Val Burgess

I am conducting research for a World War II book focused on POWs in the Philippines….do you know where I can find a map of the Bilibid Prison cemetery. I have the ones for Cabanatuan, but no joy for Bilibid.
Hi Tim,
I thought I had responded. Looks like I didn’t. My work schedule means that I cannot work on your request until after April 20th.
Here is a link to Roger Mansell’s website. http://www.mansell.com. Please contact the admin for that site, he may be able to help you sooner.
I did find this link to Bilbid Prison and perhaps a link there will aid you in your search.

Val,
You reached out to the Chairman of the Board of the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force recently via Facebook. Please e-mail me at the e-mail address provided to begin a conversation regarding possible speaking engagements. Thank you.
Dear Scott Loehr,
Thank you for reaching out to me. I apologize for not responding as I have ignored my website for some time.
I have been in contact with Heather Thies to schedule a presentation. She is out of the office this week. We will connect next week relative to a speaking engagement at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. At that time, we will determine how and when this will occur.
This site was developed for a large collection of Radio Tokyo [Tokyo] letters in my collection so the content only addresses that content.
If you would like to contact me, below is my email and phone number.
